Anna B Thornton

Anna B Thornton is a Stockholm based interior designer and artist whose work moves between spaces, objects and materials.

Thornton Interior Design was founded in 2015 and formed the foundation of her work within interiors. Her background in fashion and design has shaped an approach where colour, material and atmosphere come together to create considered and personal environments.

After a long career in fashion, Anna turned to interiors, drawn to the way spaces can influence how we feel, move and connect. Her work has explored the relationship between people and their surroundings, with a particular sensitivity to colour, materials, craftsmanship and the character of each space.

Over the years, her interior work has included private homes, offices, restaurants and shared environments. Projects have involved concept development, interior design and bespoke elements, often in collaboration with architects, craftsmen and other creative disciplines.

Alongside interiors, Anna has developed a body of work under the name WONKY, exploring imperfection, nature and the handmade.

WONKY CLAY consists of hand-built stoneware and porcelain, while WONKY LEAF interprets flowers through paper. The two forms are often brought together in compositions where floral shapes meet sculptural objects.

The work explores the beauty of imperfection and the lasting presence of natural forms. Using durable materials and handmade processes, WONKY reflects an interest in objects that bring texture, character and a sense of nature into the spaces around us.
